First of all, I said I wanted to get back into writing and I haven't done shiet. Mainly because we've been on vacation and vacation takes a lot of time.

Second, it's a little hard to get back into a fandom. Especially the thing that was (is?) Korra. It's a whole new ballpark - and I like it. Whatever's going on..just keep on keeping on. *side noteSPOILERS: the Avatar's love interest are supposed to look like their past loves, however, Asami looks nothing like Katara. She kind of reminds me of..Toph? Is this my hurt Zutara feels coming out? Probably, yes. Am I reaching? Possibly. But I ain't taking it back. /SPOILERS

Speaking of vacation, I may or may not be working on less than 24 hours of sleep. If light naps equal sleep. + that one and half hour sleep. Plus coffee. I haven't adjusted yet and it's bothering me.

I have a mind full of personal worries and what not, but I'll save it for another day. I'll read some fanfic or something to take my mind off of things.

comments

Since Le Boyf has come into my life, I've stopped writing. For the simple reason; I've found love.

It's stupid, I know, believe me. Omfg. Like, how could I?? My favorite past time. The one thing that made all my high school classes go by faster was (semi-paying attention) jotting down short paragraphs that would turn into some big fan fic thing that would turn into my little baby for a couple of months (years?).

I'm gonna get back into it. Not that I've fallen out of love with Le Boyf. Almost four years and still going strong :)) but I miss it. I miss the creative juices.

Also, side note. Can we talk for a minute about the whole season of Rupaul's Drag Race that was season 7?? Was it a dream? Was it a lie? Was it a joke? While I loved the challenges, I had no hope for any of the contestants. For now, I'm #teamviolet Because I think she's the most forward in her drag but honestly, I want a redo. Of the entire season. With Katya in the Top 3. Or better yet, bring back April Carrion. I want justice and I need it now.

comments

I cannot get back to sleep.

All day (er, yesterday?) I've been suffering from a real minor cold (or so I thought). Dry cough, sore throat, mild body aches, chills and random bouts of being too warm for my liking... I decided it's best to sleep early and sleep this damn thing off.

No avail. I went to bed around 9, was half-awake around 10, and now I'm up at...3:42am. Have I mentioned my irrational fear of moomoos? <---- sounds super childish, it is. I cannot sleep in the dark by myself. I just cannot.

This sleeping thing, has been an life-long thing for me, as far as I can remember. I never slept well as a child and I could never wake up early enough to be considered at ungodly hours (7/8am was my normal weekend wake up time now it's become 10/11).

My back aches and I think I'm hungry. I refuse to take any sort of medication. I just want cuddles and sleepytiemz.

*will edit later for tags.

comments

Hi,

My name is Lorraine and I'm an infrequent blogger. Technically, I'm still on the blogging scene but it's more geared towards makeup (fishscalekisses.wordpress.com *cough*shameless plug*cough*) and I am very active on IG (fishscalekisses)...so there's that.

Things haven't changed much since I last updated. Other than getting into a four-year university (transfer student woowoo) and volunteering at the hospital for rehabilitation services (physical therapy, hand therapy).

And yet. I still feel like I need something more. Maybe I miss being out by myself (since I need to be 'escorted' by my brothers). It bothers me that my brother (4 years younger) is allowed to go out and technically allowed to have a gf and yet, I'm not. (Still with Le Boyf, parents still don't know)

I don't know if my parents will ever take my words seriously and for what they are. I'm probably still (maybe always) a child in their eyes and doesn't understand how the world works. But that is what growth is for, right? To learn from past mistakes and grow from them. To develop into your own person, is it not?

Perhaps, I'm too much into this individualism and not enough into the family scene as my parents would me to be.

comments

A few updates: Le Boyf and I are still together. Yes, I'm still in school, and no, my parents still don't know about us.

After the hiccup of 2012, I feel so very done. I'd like to say that I've come to realize a few things, things, in which, I don't want to tolerate from anyone else. I feel that I deserve respect, and if I don't get that respect, why should I care for you? I feel that, when raising children, there shouldn't be a distinct difference if how they are raised. My chores aren't my chores because they are 'girl' chores. It is not just my duty to do the womanly chores of the house. It is not my preference to be 'courted' at home. That I should act modest and 'play hard to get', is not my preference.

I'm still very hurt over how my parents reacted. Not to say that they weren't hurt, as they were very hurt. But I'm a little disappointed in how they reacted. It was enough that I should've went to a higher authority.

Such old school ways of thinking, I won't ever understand. How is it okay for a man to have multiple girlfriends at the same time/have one right after another and yet, it's not okay for me to just have one boyfriend? As far as I'm concerned, everything we did together, I agreed with. Fuck.

Is it too soon to say I want to be separated from my parents? Is 22 too soon?

comments

So, I suck at making blog entries. But here's a recap:

- Fall semester was a win
- the intermission after, not so much. Parents found out about Le Boyf and took me out of school for the Spring semester. Please, someone, tell me that ain't fair. My grades that Fall were damn awesome for me. And the only reason my grades sucked the semesters prior was because I hated those classes. I wasn't even with Le Boyf at the time.
- so, now, I'm stuck at home with no shit to do until this coming Fall semester where I'm taking classes at the local community college instead of the community college of my preference.
- Le Boyf and I are still together, believe it or not. Call me stupid, but I can't let go of him. Too many good vibes from when we first met and again, call me stupid, but I believe we can make it. We've talked about it many times. And we've come to the conclusion of sticking together til the end. Which is hopefully, when we die.
- so, thoughts?

comments

There are some days when I wish my parents would let me be a little bit more independent. I would like for it to be okay for me to go out with my friends (for like, a good part of the day, not just like 2-3 hours) or it to be okay for me to just get out of the house. Or at least, have a job. I'm itchin'. I don't know what this is; hay fever? The need to get out of the house. I want to be able to be independent (most importantly, I'd like to be able to tell my parents yo tengo un novio without them freaking the fuck out and making a huge deal out of it).
You are not royally fucked. <strike>Okay, you are.</strike>
You are not royally fucked. You will get through this.
You are not royally fucked. You will not cry over this.
You are not royally fucked. You take that fucking cup of optimism and down that shit.
You are not royally fucked. You just aren't.

Dear cathstar,

You can get through this. Fuck chemistry and all that jazz, but baby dear, you got this. You passed that Pre-Calc class of Doom last semester (liek, holy fucking shiet, I know!) and Chem 200 wasn't all that bad, perhaps lab (but that's a whole 'nother fucker I'd like to forget about. Fucking me in the ass, bullshit). This is different. This...IS THE LAST DAMN ASS CHEMISTRY FUCKER YOU HAVE TO TAKE. Don't forget to say please and thank you when Chem 130 taps that ass.

Love,
Your Fucking Optimism

PS: Seriously. If you need to recharge on Boyf's shoulder after lab, go ahead. I don't think he'll mind. I encourage it.

-

Seriously stressing gaiz. School hasn't even started yet and Professor Chemistry decides it's a good idea to send the syllabus and first experiment now.
Busy day today. Dentist appointment. Impromptu shopping trip. More shoppings. Late Costco run.

Bullet form because I can't understand the fucking fuck:

Shopped at Forever 21:

Why the fuck are little girls shopping at Forever 21?

They're like fucking, elementary looking children. Or middle school.

They annoy the shit out of me.

Why can't they just go through a phase in life where everything pretty is ugly?

You are not welcome, little girls. Bitches.

I'm just gonna head to H&M, so I don't feel so old. <strike>I'm only twenty, what the flying fuck?</strike>

I went looking for a rucksack. A vintage looking rucksack. A floral vintage looking rucksack. I came out with a Kipling backpack. I'm not complaining. I'm just a little disappointed.

The Boy has recc'd me a Japanese movie called Confession. Pretty. Damn. Awesome. Like, forreal. If you haven't watched it, I suggest you do. I don't even care if you don't think the plot is interesting. Watch the fuck out of it. And the enjoy it. It was really interesting and so well thought out.

Also! I've been walking 6 miles? 3 miles to the park, 3 back with The Brother and my efforts are being rewarded (is that the term?) I have lost a pant size. YES, GODDAMMIT. I have to buy pants that are more fitted now, though. And that is not complaining :) So far, only one pair of pants is the correct size for me. My others, well, they're a loose comfy fit. I hope, dear lawd I hope, walking will be continued even though school is beginning soon (August 22nd for me, September 6th for the brothers). I enjoy this walking exercise, soon hopefully, more weight will be lost. This...this is good news.

( JERSEY SHORE, DEAR JESUS. )

I've also been reading quite a lot this month and past month.
I can't remember the beginning but, DEAR RORD HAYSUS.

Two main people in the dream: Usher and a very, very voluptuous Janet Jackson.

Yea, I don't know either. WTF, brain.

A charter bus. Snow. Winding roads. UST between the two makes awkward working environment until the end where they get trapped in the charter bus (JUST DEM TWO) because of a snowstorm.

Insert sex scene. Bodacious Janet Jackson ass and boobies. Usher's sultry R&B voice serenading her. Let me tell you, it was the kind of sex that had her bumping against the bus window and if they weren't stuck (like, stuck-stuck) in the snow that shit would have rocked.

In the end, they died. Not from hardcore sex, but from not being saved from the snowstorm. I mean, they didn't even had proper clothing. The heat from their intense love-making could not have saved them. But! This whole dream was in movie form, so it made it seem that the two lived. Usher is seen driving to where Janet Jackson is, singing in his car, disappears out of thin air, then reappears again and you know they died together. The place where they died is blocked off, but he drives straight through the block-thingy all ghost-like and the end.

I can't even...WTF! I wanna know, where the fuck this shit came from. Why I dreamt this shit! And what the fuckity fuck! Not that I don't like Usher or Janet Jackson, but....what?

I have weird ass dreams, I don't even know where the fuck they come from. Shet.

comments

GAIS. GAIS. Shet, it's been a long time. Real life, mainly, The Boy (as he will be referred to as from now on), has been taking over. Things aren't 'official' yet, but they will be soon. We will have our first official date tomorrow, where he will give me the stuff he won for me at the fair and we'll eat out someplace.

Seriously, yo. We've been texting ever since the semester ending (like, May 20? 19?, whenever that semester ended) and shet.

I like him, I really do. I don't know how else to explain it or say it. I just really like him.

This relationship though, has to be hush-hush with my family at least. No one in my relatives-circle is supposed to know I have The Boy. We can't do normal couple-y things because of the restriction my family's got on me having a boyfriend. So, I hope to every deity that this relationship will work.

I mean...we even scheduled our class schedules around each other, damn.

Anyway, in other news. Bestie and I have been watching Transformers so we can watch the third one soon. We just finished watching the second movie yesterday/early morning today and I think we're up to watch the third one on Tuesday.

I've been trying to learn how to skateboard, lately. I want to be productive before the semester starts next month. I felt so silly trying to board in front of my house. A 20 year old girl, trying to learn how to board when she should have learned when she was 10? Yo, super silly. But I had my cousin give me some pointers. Whenever he's coming back here, I'll have him watch over me so I don't eat pavement.

comments

I feel the need to make an update on what's been going down lately, in bullet form:

Next week is last week of this semester. THANK GOD.

I CAN FAIL AND STILL TRANSFER, not that I couldn't but this just eases my mind.

As I texted to a friend of mine, 'Chem lab can go suck skinny jean hipster ass.'

Boy news. Confusion. Pffffffffffft.

-

So, I'm over this semester. I'm over all my classes. Condescending teachers can go suck (insert preferred word choice). And if I hear one more, 'Is everybody with me on this?' I will go cry a river and drown in it. Can not take it. It's like my chem lab professor hates me. So, thank goodness I changed my major (after like, ten bajillion fafillion times?! faaccck...) and this one requires little chem and a lot more bio, which I like very, very much.

Also, this semester will probably be the first semester I have ever failed a class. Or two. <strike>Three.</strike> I went and talked to a counselor about that shit, and I'm in the clear. IT'S OKAY, GAIZ. I can still be successful even after failing shit.

Chem lab sucks ass and that's the end.

So, I have previously blogged about Chem Lab Boy. He confuses me to no end. And I hate this. Some days I'm sure about the crush and other days I'm not.
BB, you got this. You got this. Don't believe that you don't, because you do. This shit is relatively fresh to you, you remember it. You passed that Trig Class of Doom with a C. You also passed your high school Pre-calc class with a C.

Babylove, don't let your pessimistic side get you down. Don't let your hatred for math and all the fucking-ass mathematicians bring you down (I know you would have been fine with 2+2=4, but sometimes the world doesn't revolve around you hating math). Honeybear, I just wanna remind you to take your time during your test. Don't stress out, love. Review in your spare time and go over the concepts and some practice problems. Don't rely too much on those summary sheets your <strike>shit-ass</strike> teacher gave you. The answers won't magically appear on those papers, baby. Especially if the problem isn't even covered on those sheets.

Shit's getting tough trying to transfer into CSU now (thank you, California government, thanks) and I don't want you to feel that if you get an F in this one course, you will never be accepted in a higher university because baby, things just don't work that way. If you do get an F, simply retake the course again and own it. From what I learned, most colleges will look at your GPA (2.0 or above) and how many of your credits will transfer (remember baby, 60 credits), academic standing, the completion of BSGE (basic skills general education) requirements --> "C" or better, and have at least 30 credits of General Education courses.

Baby, you got this. You will not disappoint, whether or not you pass or fail. ♥

/written because I am terribly scared of the math test I have coming up tomorrow. I have no idea how the teacher is going to calculate our grades because with him it's always so, '...maybe I'll do this' or '...maybe I'll do that.' >.> And yes, I refer to myself (and everyone else I'm close to) as: BB, Babylove, Honeybear, Baby, Babykins, etc. Also written after watching math-lecture videos until I had a headache. Me no write good tonight.

PS: BABYKINS, NEVER TAKE AN ONLINE COURSE EVER AGAIN.

comments

Gais, I dunno what it is this time, but I'm feenin' for some natural pink lipstick color. Nothing shimmery. Maybe matte or creamy, but most definitely not shimmery. It doesn't help that I still don't know what warm/cool/yellow/beige thing I am >.> Dear lawd. Someday, maybe, I'll post up picture of the lippies I have and a basic face look/thing (FOTD?) that I do everyday. When I'm not lazy or feeling awkward taking pictures of myself.

Oh, yes. Note to self: Stay away from blue-toned pinks. This may be an indication that you are not cool toned and are warm toned. This is just a guess.

Also, strappy wooden heels are in this season. Espadrilles are in. Flat platform shoes (the strappy kind) are in. Maxi dresses are expected to be seen this season (especially as the weather warms up in most parts of the country). Wide leg trousers (I would think that the pant leg would have to be straight and not curved to achieve a flawless silhouette). It would be preferable that the pant leg covers the entire leg including the foot. Shoe-wise, a tall heel (that is still covered by the pant) or clog-type shoe; these also seem to be in season.

I haven't seen any of these trends happening at school lately, but I think that's due to the rain we just received last week and on the weekend. I would expect to see these during the late spring/early summer weather (April, May/June), but not so much for the wide leg trouser. For someone in their late teens-early twenties, probably not. Mid/late twenties to thirties, forties, perhaps even fifties then yes. Skinny jeans are still 'in' and I don't really think they are going anywhere. Thank God, I don't see anymore cropped tops. I saw one once during the past week.

I really want to try the wide leg trouser look. I have a wide legged trouser in my closet, but it's curved :( I'll work with it, but I'll also be on the lookout for a straight legged trouser pant. I already have an image of it (the look) in my mind. It's ridiculous how I just look into my closet and imagine what could go with what and the things I would need to buy to complete the look.

*this is an example of a straight legged jean. And this is a curved jean. See how the curved jean tapers at the knee then flares out a little bit? I do believe that is the only difference between the two as the curved jeans (or 'curvy' jeans) are supposed to make women (who are curvy) appear slimmer.

For the wide leg trouser look, this is what we're aiming for and dammit! It looks so nice. Maybe with a form fitting blazer because something flowy on top plus something flowy on the bottom may look like you want to fly away. That is all I have for today. Maybe skirts next time? Knee-length or above the knee (like a little bit, not a whole lot) and mid-calf length.

comments

Sometimes when I read a romance book or a well written romance fanfic, I always get this feeling in my chest. Something along the lines of, "I wish I had that too." <strike>Not the love of a vampire, werewolf, wizard, magical-boy-who-glows-in-the-moonlight, or mysterious-Indian-guy-who-you're-totally-not-supposed-to-fall-in-love-with; none of that.</strike> I wish I had someone to hold hands with, someone to hug, someone to sit on my feet when they get cold, someone to be okay with me propping my feet on their legs, someone who will allow me to buy clothes for them, to do their hair for them, to rub their back, someone to pamper.

And then I'm pulled back. I can't think of that now. I got classes to pass, a degree to get, a career to fulfill. I can't let some frilly emotion get the best of me and ruin my future.

People tell me I have all the time in the world to fall in love, but I feel that each year I get older, is one year lost.

I'm afraid that I'll end up a spinster. I'm afraid I'll end up dating people that aren't the right ones for me, thus ruining the 'first boyfriend => husband' kind of thing I've been taught. I'm afraid that I'll get pitied by my extended family because I don't have 'someone'.

The title is actually a quote from Nicki Minaj (who I find myself slowly admiring for her words (lyrics or quote-things) and actions (with the whole career > lovelife).

comments

1. I fucking hate Chemistry. I also hate how it's everywhere.
2. Damn it all, lab reports. Why you so difficult? You don't gotta be like dat. And Calculations, don't get me started on you - you know our beef already.
3. Note to self: READ, DAMN YOU. For homework, that is.
4. Just remind yourself: after this semester, you won't have to take English or History, ever again. Chemistry will still be in your future for sure, but no English or History. Endure it. Let's plan out, shall we?

comments

And that includes the 10 pan challenge thing. It's still on-going, but...if I'm feenin, honey, I'm feenin (read: I will buy when I see the shiny!).

I just wanna take this moment and document one of my dreams I had during the Fall of 2009 (I know this cause I had to write a paper on one of my dreams and analyze it - best paper evar).

Written in list form:

( I seriously have weird dreams )

Also, I so desperately wish my chem teachers would stop with the calculations and get on with the chem talk. I mean...with the actual chemistry talk. I would rather learn calculations in lab rather than in lecture. I had to learn today (through the intarnets! argh?) that cesium can react (igniting!) with air and water - and dammit! Me and Chemistry have such bad...chemistry.

I am hoping that there will no radiation releases (into the atmosphere) from the nuclear plants. I have my military cousin (who was shipped to Japan with his family) and thankfully they were stationed in Okinawa, but I know US military personnel are already doing their part in helping and I hope he and all who are there stay safe.

comments

If you could make anyone cream their underwear, I congratulate you. Cause then you know, you sexy now (insert sexy emoticon).

The Jamie Foxx video goes back to probably somewhere in the 90's, I'm guessing just by looking at the audience's fashion D: And dammit! I wish Jamie Foxx had recorded an album version of Slow Jam (original here) and If Only For One Night (original here). I ain't gonna lie, you talking low and play the piano, it really doesn't matter what you say (it'll process a moment later), cause in that moment it sounds so damn sexy. I love Jamie Foxx's voice. He needs to do more comedy with piano schticks.

In other news:

Two of my St. Ive's facial washes are running low (!). I can't wait because I've been wanting to try the Noxzema facial scrubs and cleansers. I do believe my day tomorrow will be full. I plan to do a lot, so hopefully all of it will be accomplished. Gawd, I hope it will be - I do not want to do any last minute homework >.>

Also, I find it really amusing when people ask questions and you know they're nervous by looking at their lips and seeing it quiver. I almost want to laugh and point it out. Because I'm that kind of friend to laugh and point out things that are embarrassing.

( One last Jamie Foxx comedy piano thing )

comments
